We all have moments where joy and peace seem like a distant memory. It can be difficult to find the time or energy for yourself when you’re juggling work, family responsibilities as well as your own personal interests each day of the week! There are always chores around our homes that need completion no matter how often we try not do them – but why not take some pressure off?
I’ve found something new lately; it’s called “a gentle breeze”. As soon I start breathing deeply through tightly together lips on weekends then within minutes there’s such relief from stress levels
Decluttering and organizing can most definitely help you achieve the joy and peace you are looking for. Decluttering your space can help you overcome stress, anxiety and even depression. Decluttering makes it easier to stay on top of things in life by getting rid of excess belongings that take up too much room or give off an overwhelming feeling – It becomes more difficult for clutter to build because there’s less stuff around inviting new items into our live
What better time than today to start decluttering
You are not alone in feeling overwhelmed by clutter. Many people have problems with decluttering for a variety of reasons. We might feel that we are too busy, just overwhelming, or not know from where to start. The good news is that decluttering doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming.
What decluttering tips can be helpful?
I put together some decluttering tips that anyone can follow, regardless of how much stuff they need to declutter. These decluttering tricks are simple and quick to apply throughout the day, which means that even if you only decluttered your home.
Clear your mind first.
The clutter is just a symptom of the underlying problem. Pare down things that are essentially unnecessary, decluttering both your home and your mind. Physical decluttering leads to mental decluttering but when you start on this decluttering journey, believe me, it doesn’t have to be painful or time-consuming. Some decluttering habits are easier to change than you might think!
Don’t tackle it all at once. Just one simple step at a time and follow the follow.
Where to Start?
The process of decluttering your house starts by throwing away all the things that you will never use again, what we call ” keep just-in-case”, does it sound familiar? These items are taking up storage space and can be put to better use, most times when we remember having them they’re not needed anymore!
You may be surprised at how much stuff you have in your cabinets and closets. There are items that may make it hard to see the space, plus having everything out is going to create a mess! But through decluttering we can take control of our environment by evaluating what’s there before storing anything else away for good with this step-by wipeout any negative energy or drama associated from organizing things back into their own spots again so they’re accessible when needed.
Pick one area to start and ask yourself the following questions:
- Does this piece speak to me (does it spark joy)?’ Just like Marie Kondo would have you do, I like to ask my clients the sentence (Does this piece speak to me) instead, but the result is the same. Set all non-joyful items to the side and put back everything that does spark joy into a decluttered space. You can choose a storage location for anything that belongs in the decluttered zone.
- Is it in good condition?’ Going through your decluttered items, make sure that they are in good condition – not broken or damaged in any way. If something needs fixing, declutter it or work on repairing it.
Take out anything that isn’t in good condition or needs mending and throw it out. Everything else in good condition can be donated.
Where to Start? My challenge for you is to pick one place to declutter.
Decluttering is an essential part of feeling organized and tackling your clutter can be one small step toward creating more space in life. Start with something that’s easy for you, such as cleaning out a cabinet or straightening up drawers! The hardest part about starting isn’t always knowing where to start – but once it clicks then everything becomes easier, so don’t worry if this sounds daunting; just take baby steps every day until they become habit.
Have a beautiful day!
Your Life, Just Tidier
